Hello everyone! Boy have I ever been busy these past few months! I've been traveling a lot and been in some amateur film projects, but don't worry my comic book story still comes first (if I can ever get The Kimeleon's ass in gear)! I'll be at the Fan Appreciation Event on April 12-13 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, so please drop by and say hi! As I promised I have some fun fan mail to post answering some of the most frequently asked questions people send me. I also have a Facebook page now and would love to add you to my friend list! (I'm sure there are not that many Ficus' so I should be easy to find.) As always you'll find an e-mail address where you can reach me at the bottom of this page, so keep the letters coming! Your LettersDear Ficus, I am such a huge fan of your books and I can't wait to see what happens in book #4! I was wondering how long you and The kimeleon have known each other and how you met? Sincerely, Jennifer Mills. Toronto, Ontario Dear Jennifer, Thanks for hanging in there, the next issue will be out soon! I promise. I met The Kimeleon in the summer of 2002 at a comic book convention. She was walking around to the different artists tables with some samples of her work and I accidentally ran into her and knocked her over sending her pages flying (it was a really rotten first impression!). I helped her gather up her stuff and commented on how awesome I thought her art was, and offered to buy her lunch to make up for knocking her on her ass. We sat and talked for like three hours and she thought that my life would make a pretty cool story and with that a collaboration and long standing friendship was born. Take Care! Ficus Hey Ficus! Wut the fuck is up with your face? You are really fucked up lookin. Where ya born like that? Sam Thompson. Ottawa, Ontario Well Sam, I was born like this and the story of my genetics is complex at best. I suggest you keep reading if you want to know the answer (if you can). Take it easy. Ficus Hi Ficus, I really love your books, is the story true? Is Eve really the Mystery girl from the first two books? Is she as pretty as she was drawn and are you guys still together? Sorry for asking so many questions but it seems like your life has been very interesting and I can't wait to find out what happens next. Thanks, David Benson. Buffalo, New York Hello Back David! No worries! I get asked these questions all the time, a lot of people are curious about me. Yes the story is true but many of the peoples names were changed and some of there physical characteristics. Eve however really is that beautiful, in fact as good of an artist as The Kimeleon is; it still doesn't quite do her justice. As for her identity, I really can't divulge that quite yet but the answer is coming, I promise! As for our relationship; well lets say I haven't seen her for a really long time. Thanks for reading! Ficus
